这个纪录片在2016年当年是热乎的，因为2015年7月新视野号飞跃冥王星，带来了非常多的信息，新的发现也在这部纪录片中充分体现了。片子讲述了新视野号接近冥王星和卫星Charon的“心路历程”和初步发现。讲到飞跃过去后“回眸”拍摄的一张冥王星大气层的照片吸引了我，负责人采访时说，从地球上的观测来看，冥王星的大气层自上世纪80年代到现在已经厚了一倍不止，可能是地表火山爆发所致，也可能是地表冰层挥发所致，使得冥王星的大气中物质迅猛增加。看来这个矮行星很是活跃啊，我也非常好奇柯伊伯带里到底还有什么，以及柯伊伯带之外是个什么样子。
