范伦铁诺1895年5月6日生于意大利的卡斯特拉内塔,1926年8月23日卒于美国纽约。1913年去美国谋生，不久即开始在影片中担任配角。1921年，在R.英格兰姆导演的以战争为主题的影片《启示录四骑士》中任主角。这部东拼西凑的影片居然打破了卖座纪录，使黝黑、俊俏、魁梧而敏捷的范伦铁诺跃上了明星宝座。在他猝然死去之前的短短几年内,主演了10多部影片,其中以《酋长》(1921)、《血和沙》(1922)、《酋长之子》(1926)最受欢迎。在这些影片中，他动作优雅，常常用热情而哀怨的目光注视...(展开全部)
